"When I was found stray, I never knew that my life would become so much better with Rescue.  I didn't know which way to turn, I was hungry, no one loved me, and now would you believe, I am a STAR!!!  I have a wonderful name that was given to me, Merrie, and a pretty pink collar.  At first I didn't know that I could trust the wonderful Rescue people, but now I know they only want the very best for me and that includes a home to call my own.
I am a petite little girl, about 3 years old.  I went to a dog show last weekend and my Rescue people who went with me told me that I was pretty enough to be in the show ring with the show dogs.  When I went traveling around the big Center where the dog show was held, people oohed and awed over me and asked if they could take my picture.  Well, I'm trying to not let all of that go to my head, but if I do say so myself, I am gorgeous.  I am just learning to accept other dogs but I would probably be happier if I were your only dog.  I do so very much love children, however, and would love to be able to play with some.
